Description:

Ali Al Timimi, an American with Iraqi heritage, was born and raised in the Washington DC area. He holds degree in Biology and Computer Science. He also studied Islamic studies at the Islamic University of Medina where he benifitted from great Islamic scholars. Due to his passion for reading and research, he progressed quickly in his studies and became one of the few experts in the US on the field of Islamic Theology and Philosophy. He was indicted in September 2004 for allegedly encouraging a group of Muslim men, known as the Paintball or VA-11 case, to fight in Kashmir. His trial began on April 4th 2005.
