Non-Muslims

Q: Does Islam teach that all non-Muslims will go to Hell?

A: No. Only people who received true and complete information about Islam and rejected it then died in that state will go to Hell. People who never heard about Islam or received only a distorted picture of it will be tested by God. Those who had faith in God and did right will go to Paradise and those who rejected faith in God and did wrong will go to Hell. The Quran says, "Surely those who have faith (in Islam) and the Jews and the Christians and the Sabaeans - whoever believes in God and the Last Day - their reward is with their Lord and they will neither fear nor grieve" (Quran 2:62 and 5:69).

Q: Will the good actions of the non-believers be wasted?

A: No. The Quran clearly says that, "anyone who has an atom's worth of goodness will see it and anyone who has done an atom's worth of evil will also see it" (Quran 99:7-8). By that it is meant that those who are non- believers but have done good will be rewarded in this world for their good deed. On the other hand, those who do good if they are Muslims, they will be rewarded not only in this world but also in the world hereafter. However, the final Judgment is up to God himself. (Quran 2:62)

Q: What is the relation of Islam to Judaism and Christianity?

A: Islam is the completion of both Judaism and Christianity. Muslims believe that God revealed the Torah to Moses and the Gospel to Jesus. However, over time these teachings have become lost or corrupted. God's purpose in revealing the Quran was to provide guidance in its complete and final form. Islam teaches that Judaism and Christianity both contain truth and are both based on revelation from God; however followers of these religions have mixed in man-made teachings and doctrines.

Q: Why do muslims hate Christians?

A: We don't! A Muslim cannot be a Muslim without believing in Jesus, in his immaculate conception within the womb of his mother, in his miracles, in the gospel (in its original and pure form) and in his complete submission to Allah's will.

Islam's point of departure from Christianity is that Muslims believe Jesus is a prophet of Allah, and not God or God's son. The Holy Quran reflects "... Christ (Son of Mary) said: O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord...".(Quran 5:75-76).

There are many other references to Jesus which substantiate that Jesus was a prophet of God, in the Holy Quran.
